I haven't been posting much art here anyway so it's not like it will be a huge hit or change for most people that watch me.  I guess this was a longtime coming and I've been thinking about this for a while, but I won't be posting anymore art on Deviantart.  I'm not going to delete everything in my gallery, because that's just childish in my opinion.  I'll be curtailing my activity to maintaining the groups that I currently moderate as best as I can.  I'll also be maintaining connectedness to the people I've started my small studio with.  I'll also probably do a journal about where my art will be once I've figured that out for anyone else that may be curious.  

The reasons are many and I'm not going to go into a lot of detail.  One thing for me though is that in any social environment when the number of people on my shit list becomes larger than the number of people I'm cool with or the people with whom I have a neutral relationship with combined it's no longer a fun environment and there are just too many alternate options to really consider staying in a toxic virtual environment for me.

...I don't know in reading the report it looks like the dude had fallen on hard times and dealing in shady business, but no one deserves to be murdered.  There is a new ThunderCats television program in the works, but it looks like the producers weren't interested in getting any input from Perry to begin with.  Even with some of the problems I had with the storyline it was still a highly influential piece of entertainment in my young life, so I'll check it out and view it as a homage to the ability and great creative imagination of Stephen Perry.

I've never understood how so many people just blindly accept disrespect as "Freedom of Speech."  As an American I'm very much interested in and uphold the ideas of freedom of speech, but I don't ignore the fact that the limits of the concept are infringement on another's ability to pursue life, liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.  How much happiness can one find in a society that persecutes them for religious beliefs that have lead them, personally, to pursue nothing but benevolence and peace?  Everyone knows that it is disrespectful to draw inflammatory images of Muhammad and yet people do it anyway which only feeds the Muslim propaganda machine that says that "White" world is waging a war against Islam and dispenses with the notion that various countries are fighting terrorism targeted at them.  


I think it was John Berger that said that people for the most part don't believe in religion as a faith anymore(any kind of religion).  People only fear or revere pain which would make "Pain" regardless of which side you stand on a defacto faith/religion for most people.  It's a sad commentary on society, if the religion of pain is the only true faith system but I'm starting to believe that it's true.
